Scope of Work

Window cleaning services are limited to the work included in the agreed scope.

A request for one service does not automatically include other services.

For example, exterior window cleaning does not automatically include interior glass, screens, tracks, frames, sills, hard water treatment, construction-residue removal, or other additional work unless those items are included in the agreed scope.

If additional work is requested or becomes necessary, any change in scope and applicable pricing should be discussed before the additional work is performed.

For a specific project, a written quote, estimate, work order, invoice, service agreement, or other written communication may contain additional or different terms. To the extent of a conflict, the applicable service-specific agreement will control for that project, subject to applicable law.

Customer Information and Property Access

Customers should provide information that is reasonably accurate and relevant to the requested service.

Customers should also inform us of known conditions that may affect the work, including:

• Damaged or fragile windows
• Cracked or chipped glass
• Loose or damaged screens
• Difficult access
• Restricted areas
• Security systems or locked gates
• Known hazards
• Fragile items near the work area
• Pets that may interfere with safe access
• Other conditions that could reasonably affect safety or service

The person requesting service should have appropriate authority to authorize access to and work at the property.

Reasonable access to the areas included in the agreed scope must be available for the work to be performed.

Pre-Existing Conditions

Cleaning may make existing defects or damage more visible.

Pre-existing conditions may include scratches, cracks, chips, failed window seals, fogging between panes, oxidation, etching, damaged frames, deteriorated seals, loose screens, brittle materials, construction damage, or other defects.

Window Specialists San Clemente is not responsible for causing a pre-existing condition merely because it becomes more noticeable during or after cleaning.

Nothing in this section limits responsibility for damage to the extent that responsibility is imposed by applicable law.

Hard Water Stain Removal

Hard water deposits and mineral buildup can vary significantly in severity.

The ability to improve or remove staining may depend on factors such as the condition of the glass, length of exposure, mineral buildup, previous treatments, and whether permanent damage or etching has occurred.

Hard water stain removal therefore does not mean that every affected window can be restored to a new or flawless condition.

Any treatment will be based on the condition of the glass and the agreed scope of work.

Post-Construction Window Cleaning

Post-construction windows may contain materials that are not present during routine window cleaning, including dust, labels, adhesive, paint overspray, caulk, silicone, protective film, stucco residue, or other construction-related material.

Some materials or glass conditions may require additional assessment or specialized work.

Post-construction cleaning does not automatically include removal of every substance found on or around the windows unless included in the agreed scope.

Construction-related scratches, defects, or other pre-existing damage are not considered to have been caused by cleaning solely because they become visible during or after the service.

Screens, Tracks and Other Window Components

Cleaning of screens, tracks, frames, sills, or other components is included only when part of the agreed scope.

Older or damaged components may be fragile.

We may decline to remove, clean, move, or handle a component if we reasonably believe doing so could create an unsafe condition or a significant risk of damage.

Safety

We will not knowingly require work to continue where conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.

Work may be declined, modified, stopped, or rescheduled because of conditions such as unsafe access, unstable surfaces, severe weather, hazardous materials, electrical hazards, aggressive animals, damaged building components, or other significant safety concerns.

Where reasonably possible, we may discuss alternative options for completing portions of the agreed work safely.

Weather and Environmental Conditions

Window cleaning may be affected by weather and environmental conditions.

Rain, strong winds, unsafe surfaces, or other conditions may require work to be postponed or rescheduled.

After cleaning, windows may also be exposed again to environmental conditions such as coastal residue, dust, pollen, sprinkler water, mineral deposits, or other contaminants.

New buildup occurring after service does not by itself establish that the original cleaning was improperly performed.

Scheduling, Rescheduling and Cancellation

Appointments are subject to availability, property access, weather, safety considerations, and other circumstances that may affect the work.

Customers who need to reschedule or cancel should contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Any specific cancellation, rescheduling, deposit, or appointment terms applicable to a particular job will be communicated separately where appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any cancellation or rescission right provided to a consumer by applicable law.

Payment

The price and payment requirements applicable to a service will be communicated in connection with that particular job.

Additional work outside the original agreed scope may involve additional charges. Where practical, those charges will be discussed before the additional work is performed.

Any job-specific payment schedule, deposit requirement, payment method, or other financial term will be governed by the applicable service agreement or communication and applicable law.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Our satisfaction guarantee applies to the window cleaning work included in the agreed scope.

If you have a concern about completed work, please contact us promptly so that we can review it.

The appropriate response will depend on the agreed scope, condition of the windows or components, and circumstances involved.

The satisfaction guarantee does not mean that Window Specialists San Clemente guarantees correction of permanent damage, pre-existing defects, failed seals, scratches, etching, recurring environmental buildup, or conditions outside the agreed scope.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Results May Vary

Window condition varies from property to property.

Although we aim to provide professional results appropriate to the agreed service, we cannot promise that every stain, mineral deposit, mark, construction residue, defect, or pre-existing condition can be completely removed or corrected.
